The London Underground paintings mark a dual purpose to reveal and conceal. To imply isolation within a space which may ultimately nurture the spirit or infer an impending menace? The platform determines an entrance or an exit, once busy, now silent.

On viewing the blackness one could expect the unexpected or perceive the coming and going of routine, though nothing is what it seems and the emptiness is never empty. It is by virtue of our spirit that we create chaos and order. The platform sustains embraces and delivers those moments.
